Overview
The
dietary service of the Main kitchen of KLES hospital, started on 09 march
1998.
Dietary service in the hospital is as important as therapeutic service & the
main objective of our dietary service is to provide better care.
The
main function of KLE dietary Department is,
1.
To serve appetising & nourishing meals to the patients.
2.
We plan and execute suitable diets which in addition will have a therapeutic
effect.
3.
To provide these diets economically as possible.
The
basic principles of this hospital, for a normal, nutritionally adequate diet
pertaining to the RDI is based on the Basic five food groups.
 Dieticians
in this hospital modify the general meals the needs of the individual
patients, We also do the supervision of food in all the wards.
Distribution of food to the patients in bed, is usually by decentralized
form in which the food is taken in heated/ sterilize trolleys from the Main
Kitchen to the Ward pantry, where it is served to different patients.
