At 40, even if
there is no complaint, the first baseline study should be done by all
those individuals who lead a stressful life. Periodical health check-
ups is a concept which is gaining importance and is directly affecting
the mortality/ morbidity rate.
Emergencies could
be avoided. Diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, IHD and Cancer if
detected early, could prevent an emergency and prolong a productive life
and prevent morbidity
.
For this a detailed check-up at pre-determined periodical interval is
very necessary. A lay man will not be able to decide which tests are
necessary for him. Keeping in view these basic tenets, KLE Society's
Hospital and Medical Research Centre has come up with a set of
convenient, result oriented schemes, Clinical examination by a number of
specialists such as Physician, Ophthalmologist, Gynaecologist, etc.
