Bar Screen: To remove floating objects which are
harmful to the pumps & other machineries
|
 |
Grit chamber cum oil & grease trap: To remove grit
floating matter oil & grease which gets coated its
carrying capacity &also it prevents transfer of oxygen
in the STP. Detention time is 15 minutes.

Pump House : 2 nos. of Raw effluent pumps (each
of capacity 44 M3 /hr @ 10m head) 2 nos. return storage
pumps (each of capacity 44 M3 /hr @ 10m head)

Aeration
tanks: Biological process takes place in
aeration tank which are used to convert the finely
divided and dissolved organic matter in wastewater into
flocculant settleable solids.
The biological process selected to remove organic matter
is called Activated Sludge Process. The aeration tank is
equipped with aerators to transfer atmospheric oxygen to
sewage. The sewage is aerated in the aeration tanks with
the help of surface aerators round the clock to build up necessary biological system.

 |
Secondary
Clarifier: To achieve remove of
biological solid and its return to aeration tank the
settled sludge will be collected in a hopper of the
clarifier and pumped back to aeration tank with the help
of return sludge pumps. When the concentration of solids
in the aeration tank exceeds 4000 mg/lit, part of this
sludge is sent to sludge drying beds for dewatering.
|
 |
Treated sewage chlorination: The clear overflow form the
clarifier is collected in a sump and either used for
gardening or disposed off in the strom drain after
proper chlorination which disinfects treated sewage
|
 |
Sludge Drying
Beds : For dewatering the excess
sludge, sludge-drying beds are provided. While water
passes through' it, which is collected through drains
and taken back to aeration tank.

Effluent
Disposable Pumps: Treated sewage after
chlorination shall be pumped for gardening in Hospital
Complex .covering 6 acres and in J. N. Medical College
covering 15 acres. |
