Completed M. Ch. (CVTS) from B. J. Medical College, Pune. Started career under mentorship of Dr. Devi Shetti, Dr. S. Bhattacharya, Dr. Srirup Chatterjee in B. M. Birla Hospital, Kolkata. Trained for Heart and Lung transplantation in Papworth, Cambridge, UK and Haerfield Hospital, UK under Prof. John Wallwork and Prof. Magdi Yacoub for 6 months. For last 22 years working in KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC and have witnessed more than 30000 heart and related procedures. Actively involved in heart transplantation programme, ECMO and heart assist devices in heart failure. Involved in teaching activities for postgraduates in clinical specialty and M. Ch. super specialty course. Till now, 7 students have graduated in M. Ch. (CVTS) from department and all are professionally well settled. Involved as external examiner for M .Ch. (CVTS) and DNB (CVTS) in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamilnadu and Karnataka Universities. Was appointed as a evaluator of Thesis by PGI, Chandigarh.
