KLE Society’s Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical Research Center, in collaboration with Red Ambulance, has launched a new ambulance service to strengthen emergency care for the people of North Karnataka, Southern Maharashtra, and Goa.

The service was inaugurated at the hospital premises, where Medical Director Dr. (Col.) M. Dayanand flagged off the first ambulance. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dayanand emphasized that ambulances are often a lifeline in rural areas, functioning as mobile hospitals during emergencies. He said the new service, staffed by trained professionals and equipped with modern facilities, will ensure patients are transported within the “golden hour,” greatly improving survival chances.
For emergencies, people can now dial 1099 to access immediate ambulance support. With its state-of-the-art medical infrastructure and existing fleet, the hospital’s collaboration with Red Health will further enhance the speed and quality of emergency response.
Prashant Agarwal, Vice President of Red Health, highlighted that the organization operates across India with over 5,000 ambulances in partnership with 109 hospitals. He expressed his delight in joining hands with KLE Society and said the initiative will significantly strengthen emergency medical services in the region.
