High risk newborn baby follow up clinic is a special clinic for the monitoring of newborns discharged from neonatal intensive care unit .These babies may have any of the high risk factors such as prematurity, low birth weight ,difficulty to start breathing at birth, requirement of surgery for any congenital defects, neonatal infections etc. Which puts the babies at risk of delayed or deviation from normal growth and development. They require screening for visions, hearing, speech and motor development using various tests. Which are available at this clinic. The clinic is run three days a week by a team of doctors, nurses, psychologist, physiotherapist who are trained in follow up of high risk newborns.
