The Department of Psychiatry has well-experienced and dedicated staff focused on delivering scientific and evidence-based mental health care. The primary objective is to foster positive mental health through high-quality clinical services, education, and community involvement, while reducing stigma and myths surrounding mental illness.
Our services are delivered with active involvement from families and stakeholders. The department also engages in collaborative teaching and research activities, while mentoring students on life skills, stress management, and mental well-being.
The team regularly organizes seminars, quizzes, and guest lectures. It also observes key mental health days like World Mental Health Day, World Suicide Prevention Day, and International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking through public awareness programs, student outreach, and nursing/community camps.
