The Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, nail diseases, and sexually transmitted infections. Our department at KLE JGMM Medical College, Hubballi, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and led by experienced faculty committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research.
Although dermatology is largely outpatient-based, our department ensures multidisciplinary care, early diagnosis, and effective treatment. We are headed by Dr. (Ex Major) Pradeep V Bhagvat, along with esteemed faculty members Dr. Mahabaleshwar, Dr. Ashwini, and Dr. Smitha.
Our faculty have presented numerous research papers in national and international journals and are actively involved in continuous medical education and teaching innovation as per NMC guidelines. Undergraduate programs include structured theory classes, bedside clinics, and small group discussions.
The department also takes an active role in free health check-up camps, public awareness campaigns, and patient counseling initiatives.
