Physiotherapy Department at KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC is a model to meet the multifarious demands of referrals from specialties and private practitioners as well as the community through direct consultation. The most advanced physiotherapy department in North Karnataka region is replete with all the latest equipment, facilities and team of skilled and dedicated professionals. A total of 11 specialties namely Neuro Physiotherapy, Pediatric Physiotherapy, Orthopedic Physiotherapy, Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Cardio-pulmonary Physiotherapy, Community Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, OBG Physiotherapy, Oncology Physiotherapy, Geriatric Physiotherapy and Biomechanics cater to a vast spectrum of disorders. The faculties are trained in numerous assessment and treatment techniques such as Integrated manual therapy, Neuro-developmental therapy, Kinetic chain activation technique, Upper and lower quadrant Neuro-dynamics, Brain gym, Prechtl's GMA, BSID III, ASQ III, DASII, IASTM tool training- M2T, cupping, jade stone, ICF- facilitator, Lactation rehabilitation, transvaginal and transrectal rehabilitation, Antenatal and post-natal rehabilitation, Pilates, Matrix Rhythm therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Oncovaginal rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, dementia training, MOCA assessor, etc.
The faculty continuously engages in research activities to promote evidence based treatment and have published 398 articles in various national and international indexed journals. As part of research and innovations a total of 19 assessment and treatment tools have been developed, 4 copyrights have been awarded, 15 are under process, 8 patents have been published so far. The faculty have also received over 87 accolades and recognition for their services provided to the field of physiotherapy.
