The Neurology department was started since the inception of the hospital. The department is staffed with three fulltime Neurologists. Neurology outpatient clinic is run six days a week. The department caters to all neurological emergencies including cerebrovascular disorders (strokes), epilepsy, meningitis, encephalitis, neuromuscular paralysis due to diverse etiologies, etc. There is a dedicated neurointensive care unit with availability of thrombolytic therapy for acute ischemic stroke supported by round the clock Neuroradiology services. Botox therapy for movement disorders is available.

The department has advanced digital EEG systems for recording the electrical activity of the brain which is an important diagnostic in the evaluation of epilepsies. An eight-channel electroneuromyograph (ENMG) equipment is present for evaluating the various diseases of peripheral nerves and muscles. The department is able to cater to basic and advanced electrodiagnostic evaluation of the neuromuscular disorders and also for evaluation of visual, auditory and somatosensory sensory pathways by evoked potentials.
