The Karnataka Lingayat Educational Society (KLES) in its commitment to community service has expanded its reach with the upcoming KLE Hospital & Medical Research Centre, at gabbur Hubballi. This impressive facility, currently nearing completion, will feature 1,366 beds and cutting-edge medical technology across a sprawling 25-acre campus. Envisioned by Dr Prabhakar Basaprabhu Kore, the hospital aims to provide accessible healthcare to the entire community in Hubballi and nearby areas, especially the economically disadvantaged by offering concessional beds.
In addition to its general medical services, the hospital will feature a superspecialty section, which will encompass various specialties such as Neurology & Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Transplantation unit and more, to be completed within the next six months.
Under the stewardship of Dr Prabhakar Kore, Chairman KLES along with the KLES Governing Body and Dr Nitin M Gangane, Vice Chancellor, the hospital is set to commence operations in the next six months, aligning it with the established standards of other reputed hospitals.
Moreover, the KLE Hospital & MRC will support the clinical training of students from the Jagadguru Gangadhar Mahaswamigalu Moorsaviramath Medical College, which operates under the KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research (KAHER). Located on the same campus, this medical college is in its own advanced stage of construction.
KLE Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Hubballi in collaboration with KLE JGMM Medical College, Hubballi has made significant strides in community healthcare since the inauguration of its Free Medical Camp OPD on January 1, 2025.
As of today, the camp has provided free consultations, investigation and treatment to over 6,000 patients, demonstrating our commitment to improving health outcomes in the community.
Among the many consultations, six patients with early-stage cancer were identified, ensuring timely free referrals to the esteemed KLE Dr Sampathkumar S Shivanagi Cancer Hospital in Belagavi. Early detection is crucial for effective treatment.
Building on its success, KLE Hospital & MRC, Hubballi inaugurated the Accident & Emergency (Casualty) Department on March 6, 2025, designed to provide immediate care to those in need.
The first-floor OPD was launched in the third week of March 2025, expanding capacity to serve more patients with a broader range of services.
